CEO 2022 FIGHTING GAME CHAMPIONSHIPS

This weekend will be seeing the grand return of one of the biggest offline majors, namely CEO 2022 which is taking place in Daytona Beach, Florida, U.S.A.

With almost 2,500 entrants you know that CEO 2022 is going to be an absolute juggernaut of an event for the fighting game community and is a continuation of the grand return to offline we’ve been seeing lately.

The biggest game is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate which sits at 650 entrants while Guilty Gear Strive follows shortly behind with around 560 participants. Tekken 7, King of Fighters 15, Street Fighter 5: Championship Edition and Super Smash Bros. Melee all passed the 200 mark with Dragon Ball FighterZ falling just short at exactly 199 players.

BlazBlue: Central Fiction, Mortal Kombat 11, Granblue Fantasy Versus and Melty Blood: Type Lumina are all just shy of the 100 mark, while Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, Super Street Fighter 2: Turbo and Soul Calibur 6 all crossed 50 participants. There will also be tournament play in Capcom vs. SNK 2 and Def Jam: Fight for NY, as well as plenty of side tournaments.

Streaming is being done at CEO Gaming, Panda Cup, Panda Cup 2, Tekken, Data FGC, Juicy Game Night, Tampa Never Sleeps, Tenomedia and Texas Shottakers.
